Starkey hearing instruments Starkey Labs Hearing Instruments Starkey Hearing Aids
Founded in 1967, William Austin founded Professional Hearing Aid Service, as an all-make hearing aid repair service. Professional Hearing Aid Service in 1971 acquired Starkey Labs, a small hearing aid earmold company. With his mission to provide better hearing instead of just hearing aids, Austin combined both businesses under the Starkey Name. Later on Starkey began making custom in-the-ear hearing aids, with a no-obligation trial and worry-free warranty. Back then there was no such thing as a no-obligation trial period, however now its not only common practice but its a legal requirement in most states. Starkey Labs is the leading manufacturer of custom hearing aids throughout the world with over 30 facilities in more then 15 countries throughout North America, Central America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and a workforce of over 4,000. Starkey's current hearing product line includes: Axent, Mesa, Cierra, Aspect and DaVinci.
